Academic Honors Interview
Congratulations on being eligible to interview for our Academic Honors Program as well as additional scholarships! Interviews will begin virtually on September 17th. Decisions will be released within a week of completion of honors interview.
Tuition-Based Scholarship Opportunities available to those who participate:
- A Full-Tuition Scholarship (one recipient)
- $2,500 per year if you are selected to participate in the Honors Program (all those selected for Honors Program)
- Those who are NOT selected for the Honors Program will receive a $1,000 per year Academic Distinction scholarship just for interviewing*
*cannot be combined with $2,500 Honors Program scholarship
Your interview will be conducted virtually with one of the Honors Program directors. We suggest that you dress professionally for the interview. Please select the date and time that work best for you. Allow 30 minutes for the interview. Honors candidates must submit a resume, one letter of recommendation, and a personal statement in order to begin the interview process. ALL MATERIALS MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE INTERVIEWING.

- In a short video statement (no more than 2 minutes), tell us about a time when you did something hard, perhaps a school project that really stretched and challenged you or a situation in a relationship that required you to exercise a lot of persistence and creative problem solving. Tell us about how you faced this challenge, overcame obstacles, and learned something from the experience. This video does not have to be polished or overly formal. Just ask a friend, teacher, parent or other person in your life to record you sharing this story with us.
You will receive a Google Calendar invite closer to the week of the interviews. You will also receive an email with a Google Meet link prior to your interview. Please note and plan accordingly as all interviews will be in Eastern Standard Time!
